Declaration of re-marking acceptance

IHC Piping B.V. was granted the authority to restamp (overstamp) its products on 31 August 2010. Certification was carried out by Lloyd’s Register Nederland B.V., culminating in the grant of a ‘Declaration of Acceptance restamping’.

As a consequence of this declaration, restamping by external bodies, such as a Notified Body (NoBo) or Classification Bureau (Class) is almost never required any more. IHC Piping may now restamp materials under its own authority and at its own production location. Restamping covers the range of materials with material certificate 3.1 or 3.2, in accordance with standard EN 10204.

This means that customers who award us orders in which processing of materials with material certificates 3.1 or 3.2 is required can be certain that the right materials will be used in our production process.  As well as this, it gives our customers increased material traceability. A list of materials that have been used to compose a product manufactured by us can be traced through the restamping of the materials.

With the awarding of this certificate, we have made critical progress in our innovation process and the ongoing professionalisation of our company. This new authorisation also means that IHC Piping is now even more attractive for new and existing customers because of our increased guarantee of quality.
