At IHC Piping, part of IHC Merwede, the go ahead has been given for new construction plans in Sliedrecht, The Netherlands. Witnessed by management and staff the first pile was symbolically driven on the 4th of April. In the coming months a new warehouse, distribution center, another workshop and new office will be built.
General Manager Jan Struys is delighted with these expansions: “IHC Piping has experienced continuous growth in recent years and the future appears to be very bright. With these construction plans and a new automation system, we are ready to play an even bigger part in the many developments in our market and to increase our service levels, our efficiency and our quality”.
The new distribution center will make it easier to compile and ship IPK’s (IHC Piping Kits). The separate workshop will enable the production of precision piping for the hydraulic industry.
The warehouse and distribution center are expected to be ready at the end of August 2012. The opening of the production center and office building will follow a few months later.
